The Challenge

Our client, a developer of luxury properties, required metalwork solutions for a major penthouse apartment renovation. The project demanded a wide array of custom-made elements, each requiring the highest level of quality and attention to detail. The challenge lay in creating pieces that were not only functional but also seamlessly integrated into the overall design.

Our Approach

We worked closely with the client’s design team to understand their vision and translate it into precisely crafted metalwork.

For the Crittall-style interior doors, we fabricated bespoke brass sections, incorporating hidden magnet catches for a clean, minimalist look. We offered versatility in the door panels, providing options of clear glass, reeded glass, or solid bronze to suit different areas of the apartment.

To complement the bespoke leather-wrapped furniture, we engineered curved trims from split brass tubes. This innovative approach allowed us to create unique edgings for the console unit, coffee table, and stair baluster, combining metal and leather in a harmonious design. For the mirror surrounds, we welded large rectangular and circular frames to create single, seamless pieces.

The crowning achievement of the project was the shower/steam room enclosure. Crafted entirely from solid brass, this piece incorporated several bespoke elements:

• Custom-made seals inlaid into the door profile
• A full-length pull handle integrated into the door edge
• A specially manufactured heavy-duty bronze piano hinge
• Five ball catches and keeps for secure closure
• A custom louvre-style airflow grille, designed to be flushed into the tiled bench inside the enclosure
• Glass panels laminated around fine bronze wire mesh

To achieve a cohesive look throughout the apartment, all metalwork was hand-polished and given a bronze antique finish to match custom hardware sourced from the Netherlands.

The Results

The completed metalwork elements elevate the penthouse luxurious look and feel. Each piece, from the furniture to the shower enclosure, demonstrates how dedicated we are to crafting excellence and creating innovative designs.
