The Challenge

A new luxury restaurant in Mayfair required an extensive range of bespoke metalwork solutions to bring their interior design vision to life. The project required precise attention to detail, seamless integration of several materials, and a cohesive look across multiple levels of the establishment.

Our Approach

We engaged in an intensive design and mock-up process, collaborating closely with interior designers, shopfitters, and the client to ensure every detail met the exacting standards of this exclusive dining venue.

Ground Floor Restaurant

We crafted smooth-sanded natural brass frames for the decorative grilles adorning the high-level areas and the shopfront. The walls feature timber panelling divided by highly polished brass rods, each precisely drilled through the round face to achieve perfect alignment with adjacent dividers.

Chef’s Counter

For the exclusive chef’s counter area, we fabricated sophisticated blackened steel counter panelling with a matching footrail, complemented by a contrasting natural brass shelf. The suspended curved screen above the counter showcases our ability to integrate multiple materials, featuring a natural brass frame, glass panels inlaid with gold leaf, and a blackened steel band.

Wine Cellar

In the basement wine cellar, we installed subtle blackened steel skirtings and stringers, as well as niche openings lined with 8mm thick solid steel plate. These elements add sophistication and elegance to the space, complementing the warm lighting and breathtaking green ceramic tiled vault-style stair.

Handrails and Balustrades

The crowning achievement of this project is the series of unique handrails and balustrades that run from the basement to the second-floor private dining area. Each bar was hand-formed from solid mild steel, then fired and hammered to create a one-of-a-kind pattern. The metalwork was hand-blackened before being wrapped in tri-colour leather cording’s.

The Results

The completed metalwork throughout the restaurant significantly complements its status as one of London’s finest new haute cuisine establishments. Each element, from the brass-framed grilles to the uniquely textured handrails, showcases our commitment to exceptional craftsmanship and innovative design solutions.
